Koger Center for the Arts Rebrand
During my graduate school program, I had to complete a successful campaign for a real business. Two classmates and I were assigned to Koger Center for the Arts, Columbia, South Carolina’s center for performing arts. We started with a SWOT analysis and creating and distributing a questionnaire for research. We then came up with a strategic plan and implemented the plan, followed by evaluation. I was in charge of all design aspects for the rebrand, which included a new logo, color palette, font family, and website design. I also created a two-sided flyer for the business and a few posts for their social media.
ESSENCE AROMA
Essence Aroma is a candle company offering all-natural candles made from soy with no dyes or additives. Each candle comes with a personal motivational message of choice displayed on its label. I created a logo for the company as well as all design materials to include candle labels with each personalized quote, a business card, a brochure, a website (essencearoma.net,) a Facebook page (Essence Aroma) with a custom header design, an Instagram page (@_essencearoma) with an animated post to get the client started, and a brand book.
NIA BEAUTY
I created these for Nia, a student at the University of South Carolina who started her own business after leaving her position at Ulta Beauty. When Nia left Ulta, she started doing eyebrow waxing out of her home, and that's when she approached me about wanting her own logo. Shortly after creating her logo, Nia was able to get her own chair at the barber shop on campus, where she now does eyebrow waxing and lash extensions. I designed two variations of her logo, a template for Instagram posts, and business cards for her to hand out to current and prospective clients.
